"The View " host Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin argued that the NFL 's decision to remove the "end racism" slogan from the end zone was a result of President Donald Trump 's attendance at the Super Bowl .

Hostin said that the league had announced the decision based on recent tragedies including the fires in Los Angeles , the plane crash at Reagan National Airport and the terrorist attack in New Orleans .
