Sen. Tommy Tuberville reintroduces bill to protect women’s Olympic sports from men who identify as transgender females

Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville will reintroduce a bill Wednesday aimed at protecting women’s Olympic Sports from men who identify as transgender females.

The bill would prohibit governing bodies recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee from permitting men to compete in athletic events intended for women.

It comes on National Girls and Women in Sports Day — the same day President Donald Trump will sign an executive order banning men from competing in women's sports.
