One person dead after single vehicle rollover on Deerfoot Trail

A car crash on northbound Deerfoot Trail on Tuesday morning has left one person dead and sections of the highway closed to traffic. According to Calgary police, a single vehicle rolled over under the 8 Avenue overpass. EMS confirmed that the accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday . No one was taken to the hospital. Currently, northbound lanes on Deerfoot Trail between Memorial Drive and 16 Avenue N.E. are closed to traffic. The vehicle was discovered overturned on its roof, with car parts scattered along the highway. More to come..
