Ghostly Glow of Nuclear Power Station Detected in Water 150 Miles Away

First time water has been used to detect antineutrino, which originated from a nuclear reactor more than 150 miles away.

Breakthrough paves the way for future neutrino experiments and monitoring technology that use inexpensive, easily acquirable and safe materials.

The result suggests that water detectors could be used to monitor the power production of nuclear reactors.
