Widespread federal layoffs impacting thousands

Hundreds of probationary workers with the Federal Aviation Administration have been laid off.

The FAA union is out with a statement saying that employees could be barred at the door tomorrow when many return to work from this long a three day holiday weekend .

Legal experts say because it may be the president, the administration may have more legal wiggle room, more legal cover to terminate those employees.

President Trump has asked the Supreme Court to weigh in on whether or not the Trump administration has the authority to fire an Inspector General that is tasked with protecting a federal government.

President Trump fired this, fired to the head of the US Special Count Office of Special Counsel . That Inspector General disagrees with the firing, doesn't believe it was legal.
