Windsor Spitfires head coach Greg Walters has never lost a losing record in his first season as a head coach.

The OHL team is assured of a winning record heading into Thursday 's game at the WFCU Centre against Flint .

The Spitfires are currently on pace for 49 wins and 102 points, which would be a 31 -win improvement from last year and a 58 -point improvement overall.

“We had the ability to score a lot more if we defended harder and were able to put some structure in there and the kids bought right in,” Walters said.

“Here, it’s pretty easy with the group Billy Bowler and Frank Evola have put together. We have elite skill and elite character and it just flows from the top to our first-year guys learning how to be pros.
