A 14-month-old miniature poodle puppy was taken in by animal control in Charlotte , N.C. , after her owner couldn't afford veterinary care.
Her leg was so infected that the bottom half of her leg fell off when bandages were removed.
The remaining part of her injured leg was surgically amputated on Dec. 19 to ensure her comfort and prevent further complications.
