Education Secretary Miguel Cardona says he's proud of his efforts to protect changes implemented under his watch.

Cardona said eliminating the Department of Education would "create a wider gap between the haves and have nots" Trump has repeatedly accused Democrats of politicizing schools and has promised to cut funding to some schools.

Hess: "I don’t know that McMahon is well equipped to do it. We’ll see, in part, through her confirmation process,” Hess said.
