Ronald Gene Simmons Sr. was convicted of murdering 14 members of his family in Arkansas in 1989 .
He killed his wife and eldest son with a crowbar and then shot them with a22-calibre pistol.
He then strangled his three-year-old granddaughter Barbara , 17 , Eddy , Marianne , and Becky .
The bodies were then dumped in a cesspit on Boxing Day .
Simmons was facing a mountain of trial and headshrinkers gave him all-clear of evidence.
During the second trial, Simmons punched the prosecutor and tried to grab a deputy’s gun.
The other cons on the alley of the doomed did not like Simmons ’ stance fearing it would expedite their journey on the night train to nowhere.
