•NASA veteran saw 'metallic spherical orbs' fly by his plane over Texas

Leroy Chiao , who served as the commander of Expedition 10 to the International Space Station in 2004 and 2005 , was 9,000 feet in the air when he saw ' two metallic spherical orbs' whizz by his plane this August .
Chiao estimates that the orbs were only ' about 20 feet away' from his plane.
The former astronaut believes that the government's lack of transparency on drones over sensitive US sites has 'scary' implications.
First director of Pentagon 's UFO-hunting All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) Dr Sean Kirkpatrick said metallic orb UFOs were the most common type of case reported by US military witnesses.
'We see these ['metallic orbs'] all over the world,' Dr Kirkpatrick told NASA 's UFO advisory group.
