•US Senate to vote on bill that fuels possibility of Chinese drone ban
70% Informative
The 2025 defense spending authorization bill is coming up to a final vote in the U.S. Senate .
It aims to ban the use of Chinese drones while working to increase drone supply chain resilience.
The bill mandates an investigation into two Chinese drone manufacturers, DJI and Autel Robotics , with the aim of placing them on the Federal Communications Commission's " Covered List ".
The latest version of the NDAA could ban the company's drones.
DJI has not yet responded to VOA 's request for comment.
The company has consistently denied claims that it sends drone data to the Chinese government.
"We believe that innovation, security, and privacy can coexist," said DJI representatives.
