A congresswoman from Georgia said the U.S. government is in control of the drones and refuses to tell the American people what is going on.
Other right-wing figures like Alex Jones and Roseanne Barr have also floated conspiracy theories.
Governor Larry Hogan of Davidsonville , Maryland , says he saw dozens of drones in the sky last night.
The FBI , DHS and New Jersey State Police are investigating.
The agencies say they have no evidence that the sightings pose a national security threat or have a foreign nexus.
