Families from Windsor-Essex are forced to leave home for children’s medical care.

The charity said its services save families about $500 per night by offering alternatives to expensive hotels and a place to cook meals.

Last year , RMHC Southwestern Ontario served 3,600 families.

“It’s that much worse when you don’t get into Ronald McDonald because, as a caregiver, you aren’t getting your personal basic needs met. “They really do a lot to help you.
