SoFi 's revenue increased 30% to $697 million in the third quarter (ending Sept. 30), and the addition of 756,000 new members (what SoFi calls customers) brought its total membership to 9.4 million -- an impressive increase of 35% from the year-ago quarter .
American Express continues to attract new customers and increase its top and bottom lines.
