The official International Day of Persons with Disabilities is Tuesday .

Why do we need such a day when the issues of disability, speaking from experience of living with cerebral palsy, are not packed up with the posters, the table cloths, the leftover sandwiches and desserts and saved for another year ? A quick scan of the disabled landscape in Canada is disturbing.
