Juliette , 21 , and Mary Yiorkadji , 22 , say social media has had a negative impact on friendships.

'Our generation is lonelier now,' says Mary , a fourth-year economics and philosophy student.

Dating apps have already started to create similar versions for friendship-making.

Juliette thinks the idea will become more mainstream as the idea expands.

She said: “It’s modern but I think it will become popular in the future” Juliette said people are less likely to go out and meet new people like you would have done five years ago .
