The federal GST holiday bill passed by Parliament offers a two-month tax break to Canadians from Dec. 14 to Feb. 15 to ease affordability woes during the holiday season .
Small businesses have voiced their opposition to the bill, based on flash survey.
“It’s going to be a big hassle for a lot of retail,” says one store owner.
“I think having alcohol on it and some of the other items didn’t make a lot sense, and it being for a short time,’ he says.
