Apple has released its latest iOS 18.1.1 update, which contains 'important security fixes' The tech giant says the update fixes two vulnerabilities which have already been 'actively exploited' by hackers.
The first is a bug in the 'JavaScriptCore' framework used by the iPhone to run apps in web browsers.
The second is a flaw in the Webkit engine which is used as the basis of apps like Safari , Mail, and the App Store .
Apple is staying tight-lipped about what exactly the patch changes to avoid giving anything away while people download the update.
iOS 18.1.1 includes some of the first Apple Intelligence features to come to the iPhone for users in the US .
These include intelligent writing tools that can help you proofread, rewrite and summarize text anywhere that you can write words.
The Photos app will also receive a new Clean Up feature that allows you to quickly erase any unwanted object from a photo.
The Mail app will get a priority messages feature that sorts emails at the top of your inbox.
