•'Most amazing day': Dreams Take Flight Calgary offers kids adventure to Universal Studios
68% Informative
Dreams Take Flight Calgary will take 118 children from Alberta to Universal Studios in L.A. for the second year in a row .
The trip is a chance for the kids to “forget about whatever their issues are at home” for one day .
The children, aged between nine to 14 years , were put forward for the trip through social agencies, medical agencies, doctors and hospitals.
By taking children on a trip to see their favourite characters and go on an adventure with new friends, Wartwick said he hopes the experience changes their stories a little. “Everyone has a story and we have the opportunity to change that story,” he said. “We don’t (always) know what the story is, that this child has, we just know that somebody says they need this and it’s exciting to be able to help write a new story or give them some direction towards a new story.”.
