•Documentary director redefines astronaut Eileen Collins as the 'Spacewoman' (interview)

" Spacewoman " tells the story of Eileen Collins , the first female astronaut to command a space shuttle mission.
The documentary is based in part on Collins ' autobiography, " Through the Glass Ceiling to the Stars ," as published in 2021 .
Director Hannah Berryman says it was the producers who came up with the title.
Tickets are available to watch the film online from Sunday ( Nov. 17 ) through December 1 .
