Nasty comments by some new B.C. MLAs are in the past, but David Eby warns against repeats

Premier David Eby has watered down his threat to ostracize some newly elected B.C. Conservative MLAs .

Eby said the New Democrats would apply a “bright line test” to such MLAs, suggesting that the government would shun those whose comments failed the test and crossed the line.

The premier said the test would only apply to future actions, not things that the MLAs had said in the past.

Eby will begin translating his mandate letters in the mandate letters for the cabinet he will appoint Monday .

It's one month after the election and the second anniversary of him taking the oath of office as premier.

The priorities will be “affordability, housing, strong and safe communities” according to Eby .
