Cenovus Energy CEO Jon McKenzie also touted the benefits of TMX as the integrated producer moved to increase output from its oilsands operations.
Precision Drilling CEO Kevin Neveu says he was surprised by producers moving swiftly to add rigs after TMX offered additional egress out of Western Canada .
“They were comfortable there wasn’t going to be a lot of swings in the price. And I think that just gave them the signal they needed to get rigs added,” he says.
