•Star Trek: Lower Decks Is Growing the Beard in More Ways Than One
55% Informative
" The Best Exotic Nanite Hotel " is a final episode of Lower Decks .
The final season of the show is proving again that it still has things to learnâthe maturity to acknowledge when it’s screwed up, as well.
It helps that this week is about Boimler quite literally growing a beard, too.
It's a rare moment in Lower Decks metanarrative that the show gets to essentially take a step back and go “hey, this is something that we screwed up on, and we can’t change that now, but at least we can address it.” Given what a boon it was to see Mariner and Jennifer together, one of the biggest disappointments was how unceremoniously it dropped Jen after introducing her as a character.
