ADR director and voice actor David Wald (Gajeel from Fairy Tail and Askeladd from Vinland Saga) apologized to his friends and fans on his personal X/Twitter account revealing that any and all letters addressed to him via Funimation or Crunchyroll over the past five years never made their way to him.
Wald said some of the stolen items were returned to him, but he said they were “found on the company giveaway table”.
Crunchyroll says it is investigating the allegation of undelivered fan mail to a voice actor.
Wald says he plans to set up a PO box for fans to send artwork and letters directly to him.
The company says it respects the privacy of all of its voice actors and doesn't intentionally open mail.
