Arizona Senate race is one of a handful that will determine which party will win in the state.
The winner will replace independent Sen. Kariari Lake , who was elected as a Democrat in 2018 but left the party after her relationship with the party's base ruptured.
Lake accused Gallego of undergoing an "extreme makeover" to downplay his progressive record in the U.S. House .
Lake says Gallego abandoned his ex-wife while she was pregnant.
She says he abandoned her during the couple's marriage weeks before their son was born.
Lake says she has never conceded she lost her own 2022 race for governor.
She has also tried and failed to persuade courts to outlaw the use of electronic voting machines.
