Ron DeSantis is trying to block passage of Amendment 4 , which would enshrine in the state constitution a woman’s right to an abortion.
Amendment 4 would change state constitution to prohibit government interference with right to abortion before viability of a fetus.
The state-run Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has launched a website opposing the initiative.
It has also spent millions of dollars on television ads urging Florida voters to reject it.
An estimated 36,000 signatures are currently under review by an election fraud unit that was established by legislation that DeSantis signed into law two years ago .
“It effectively puts it in the courts, and there will be 25 years ’ worth of lawsuits on what any of these terms mean.”.
