•SpaceX's Crew-9 astronaut flight for NASA launches this week. Here's how it turned into a rescue mission

NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov will launch Thursday ( Sept. 26 ) on SpaceX's Crew-9 mission.
The mission will be the first crewed launch to take off from Space Launch Complex-40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida .
Two other NASA astronauts, Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson , were supposed to be aboard as well.
Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are stuck on the ISS without a dedicated ride home.
