The New York magazine reporter's boss confronted her over the affair, and she eventually came clean.

Kennedy had forcefully denied ever meeting the 31-year-old reporter, who has been engaged to Politico chief Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza .

Nuzzi was “engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign,” the magazine said.

The magazine said an internal review of her 2024 work found “no inaccuracies or bias” but it still placed her on leave pending a third -party review.
