Ilford South MP Jas Athwal is the biggest landlord in the House of Commons .
He was criticised last month after it emerged he was renting out flats with mould and ant infestations.
Now an i investigation can disclose he is a director of a company called Village Day Nurseries .
The nursery company has three properties in Essex and Derby that provide care for 300 children under the age of five .
All of these nurseries have been criticised by the Government ’s education inspector Ofsted after failing to meet child safety rules.
Labour Party confirmed Jas Athwal is a director of Village Day , but said he had not been a shareholder since 2017 .
Party said his filings at Companies House and in his register of interest are incorrect.
They confirmed his wife, through another company, is a significant shareholder.
They added that all complaints against Village Day had been resolved by Ofsted .
