Five states across the country begin in-person early voting this month and multiple battleground states will do the same in October .
North Carolina was supposed to begin its early voting by absentee ballots on Sept. 6 , but the process was delayed after Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign fought to take his name off the ballot.
Some Pennsylvania counties may be sending out mail-in ballots as soon as Sept. 30 while others could go out as late as Oct. 8 .
Same-day registration and voting: Tuesday, Oct. 22 to Election Day , Nov. 5 .
Late registration must be received and verified by Election Day on Tuesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. In-person request must be submitted by Tuesday, October 5 .
