Idaho Sen. Mike Crapo , R-Idaho, is co-sponsoring the Protecting American Agriculture from Foreign Adversaries Act .

Utah is in the top five in the country for the amount of land acreage at risk due to the number of key military installations.

Chinese companies and investors have bought up land in the U.S. as well as purchased major food companies like Smithfield Foods .

According to Smithfield ’s website, it has says it has 75 company owned farms, 28 contract farms and one feedmill in Utah .
