•Judge delays sentencing in Trump's hush money case following Supreme Court's immunity ruling
62% Informative
Some breaking news coming in. A judge has just delayed former President Donald Trump sentencing in his hush money trial in New York that will now take place instead of this month in September . Manhattan prosecutors say they are willing to delay that sentencing until September 18th . The announcement comes the day after Trump 's lawyers asked for a delay to study yesterday 's US Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity if it has a bearing here. Trump 's team also asked Judge Juan Rashon to throw out Trump 's conviction of 34 felony charges based on the immunity ruling. Prosecutors say the new opinion does not affect the New York case..
