British journalist Vladimir KaraTelegraph

Russian-British journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza , 42 , was arrested in April 2022 and charged with treason.
He was arrested after criticising the Russian invasion of Ukraine .
The pair worked together to persuade governments around the world to adopt Magnitsky Act .
Putin detested the legislation because it curtailed the ability of his cronies to steal Russian wealth and spend it in the West .
The Canadian government was the first that Sir William managed to persuade to use the Magnitsky Act to sanction those who had arrested Kara-Murza .
The next stage of Sir William ’s plan was to get the British citizen added to a prisoner-swap deal.
He organised a letter signed by 50 Senators and 33 members of the House of Representatives requesting the State Department do everything in its power to free him.
Sir William plans to join forces with Kara-Murza to continue their fight against Putin .
The pair never thought the Magnitsky Acts would get passed anywhere.
Now they will be looking over their shoulders; both have Russian targets painted on their back.
